The ABA Community Outreach team will be sponsoring the 5th annual American Bankers Association Icing Out ALS walk team. ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. We need all the help we can get TODAY!
Please join this virtual event on October 14th. If you would like to participate as a virtual walker or just make a donation, please click the 'Join My Team' button to sign up as member of the ABA team.
The walk raises money to support people in our local community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatment and a cure.
Please share this information with your family and friends. They can also sign up as a virtual walker on our team with the link in this email.
