"AMAYS" ALEX MASSEY "AT YOUR SERVICE"
8TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING & ALS CHARITY EVENT
AUGUST 23rd @ MALLARD CREEK GOLF COURSE
Let's have fun & support the Northern Ohio Chapter in caring for others with ALS in Alex's memory!
Please join us at our Golf event on Friday, August 23rd at Mallard Creek Golf Course. The details for golfing, donations and dinner are found at https://alexsarmy.myevent.com/
So many of you have been so generous and participated in the golf outing through sponsorship, playing golf, dining, auction items and antics on the golf course in the past. Please help make this a success in 2024!
"AT YOUR SERVICE" was the motto for Alex being in service to others - his family, his friends, his co-workers, his church family and really anyone he came in contact with.
Wow, Alex is smiling from heaven because after he left Bendix, his next job was to fight for a cure and for all the services to continue for others that the team at the Northern Ohio Chapter provided.
This outing has allowed our AMAYS group to donate over $200,000 in the past 7 + years!
Let's keep it going! Thank you in advance for your generousity!
Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer. In the mean time it costs an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
