Hello My Dear Family & Friends.
It’s that time of year again wherein I am asking you to participate in the ALS Association of Texas’ (ALSA) 23nd Annual Walk fundraising event. Team SHERRY JB walk will be held at McDade Park in Conroe on October 14, 2023 at 10 AM. I am a bit behind in sending out my request for you to join me in this fundraising event. My life has thrown me a bit of a curve ball but I’m back on track to raise funds for this worthy cause. ALS is a devastating disease for which there is no cure. The sad realization is every 90 minutes some is diagnosed or passes away from ALS. Please visit the ALS homepage to explore the many ways your donations are utilized.
Many of you are aware that my sister, Sherry Brown, was diagnosed with ALS on July 8, 2020. Her health and her spirit declined rapidly and she went to be with our Lord on November 27, 2020. I feel certain she is up there looking over us in our fund raising efforts to honor her and is filled with enormous appreciation. I miss her more than words can express and still struggle to accept she is gone. I want her spirit to live on.
I am continuing to do my best to show my appreciation to the ALSA of Texas for the support they provided during Sherry’s battle with ALS as well as the support they provide on a daily basis to those with ALS and their families. Once again, I have created a Team to raise funds for the ALS Association of Texas during their 23rd annual walk. Walking is optional but we would love to see you at McDade Park.
My/Our team name is SHERRYJB of which I am the team captain. Our goal is to raise $3,000 for the ALSA of Texas and we need your help and support. Donations of any amount, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps, and all donations are tax deductible! Just click the link at the bottom of the email which will bring you to the Team Sherry JB page and click the red donate button next to my name.
Thank you in advance for supporting Sherry’s memory and others who are battling this devastating disease through the ALSA of Texas! May God bless and keep you safe and healthy.
