Hi Everyone!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING TEAM NAMA!!
As most of you know, my precious grandmother, Kathy Vitale Dausch, was diagnosed with ALS in January 2017 at the age of 67. This aggressive, crippling, monster of a disease, took her life just 6 months after that!!!! Devastated doesn’t begin to describe the hurt we all STILL feel in our hearts... but with her by our side, WE WILL FIGHT for all the others affected by this terrible disease, and WE WILL FIGHT for a cure, and we will do it in honor of all the lives haunted by ALS, and of course in HONOR of my NAMA!
My grandmother has inspired me beyond comparison, with her compassion for life, family, friends, and with the enormous amount of love she has shown me throughout my entire life. I would like to do anything and everything I can to help fight this disease, and to help other families who's lives have been (or will be) impacted by ALS. My grandma (NAMA) had the biggest heart, and I just want to show the same amount of LOVE and SUPPORT that she showed everyone on a daily basis, and to make her proud.
I ask that if you are able to donate even just $1, it will be very much appreciated and it will potentially go towards finding a cure for this awful, awful disease!!
Thank you in advance for helping us reach our fund raising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Our team is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatment and a cure. Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
