Participant Announcements
We're ready to defeat ALS in Portland! A few reminders for a great WALK DAY!
-Walk to Defeat ALS will take place RAIN or SHINE.
-The site opens to participants at 9 a.m. Opening Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. and Walk starts at 11 a.m. *This schedule may be adjusted.
-Visit the Unlock ALS Area to pick up your KEY. Participants select a lanyard in one of four colors to represent their connection to ALS and receive a key. Unlock ALS representatives will share their stories during the opening ceremony.
-SKIP THE LINES: Make sure your family, friends and co-workers are registered before event day! This allows us to best prepare for the event.
-Light snacks and water will be available at the Food and Beverage Area. Meals are not provided. Feel free to bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
-Dogs are welcome at Amethyst Lot Park. Dogs must be leashed.
-Participants who raise at least $90 will receive the official Walk to Defeat ALS t-shirt. While supplies last.
-Free street parking is available across the street from Amethyst Lot Park. Please carpool when possible. Additional parking available at Ocean Gateway Parking Lot at 2 Commercial Street, Portland Maine. *Parking fee may apply at Ocean Gateway Parking Lot.

T-Shirts
Only participants who've raised $90 will get a t-shirt. This benefit is awarded to individuals, not teams or donors, so make sure the donations to your personal fundraising record add up!
In addition to working toward one for yourself, you should spread the word to encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to earn their very own shirt.
