We hope you can join us for the 2023 Walk to Defeat ALS on Sunday, September 10th.  Registration begins at 9:30am, and the welcome ceremony to kickoff the walk will be held at 10:45am, with the Walk starting at 11am. This event brings together those living with ALS, family, friends, co-workers and others impacted by ALS to join in the fight to find a cure for ALS.

Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the services and resources provided by the ALS Association by visiting the Care Services Area, enjoy live entertainment with  "Razing The Bar", activities, caricature artist, a kid zone area, food trucks, including Swensons, Dough Daddy and Birdigo and more.

Proudly serving as honorary co-chairs for this year's Walk are David Hollister, Managing Director of Newmark, and Michael Polito, Esq., Partner with Polito Burke Rodstrom Szep LLP. David was diagnosed in 2022 with degenerative motor neuron disease, a family of illnesses that includes ALS,, and Michael lost his brother and best friend Dr. Anthony "Tony" Polito to ALS in 2021.

2022 Walk to Defeat ALS T-Shirt

T-Shirts

Remember - only participants who've raised $90 will get a t-shirt. This benefit is awarded to individuals, not teams or donors, so make sure the donations to your personal fundraising record add up! If you have a donor who would like a shirt, we recommend asking them to register as a member of your team and make a self donation.

In addition to working toward one for yourself, you should spread the word to encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to earn their very own shirt.

Statistically speaking, someone around the world is diagnosed with ALS every 90 minutes, and every 90 minutes someone loses their battle with ALS. Recognizing the importance of "every 90 minutes," the T-shirt minimum is $90. It is our hope that this minimum will reinforce this critical statistic and help you develop a better understanding of the disease.
