Thank you for coming to this site to learn about ALS. I also thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal of $20,000!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries. Military veterans make up 50% of the people with ALS.
WE ARE CLOSE TO MAKING ALS A LIVEABLE DISEASE
ALS was discovered in 1869 it took until 1995, 126 years, to develop Riluzole, a drug that extends life a few months. The great news is that in 2022 two new oral drugs were approved, Radicava and Relyvrio, which also extends life expectancy by a few months. This year Qalsody, injected into the spine, has been approved, again it only extends life a few months. Why is that great news, simple math one drug in 126 years versus 3 in two years!! There are numerous research drug studies out there, over 300 worldwide, most with the goal of stopping the disease where it is, once that is done time can then be spent on looking for a cure. They are very close to the goal of making ALS a livable disease!!!
Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.

ABOUT ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is always a fatal progressive, neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of
