Thank you for taking the time to click on my link and help raise funds to finding a cure for ALS. As most of you know, my mom (Vicky Tate to some, Aunt Vicky and Mrs. Tate to others and Nonnie to her grandkids) was first diagnosed with FTD in November of 2016. Then in October of 2017 she was also diagnosed with ALS, which ultimately took her life. Our mom passed away on March 17, 2018.

We want to give back to the organization who helped my mom and family when she was diagnosed with ALS. In honor of my moms love for horses, we will be Trotting for a Cure for the 6th year and truly appreciate your support!

Why We Need Your Help

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.

Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.

ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
