About Ride to Defeat ALS: Massachusetts

The annual Ride to Defeat ALS: Massachusetts is an opportunity for friends, family, and the local community to join together to support those people affected by ALS. Funds raised at this event help to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest. We offer multiple routes and ride lengths to participants of all abilities. Enjoy lunch, drinks and music at our post-Ride celebration!

Fundraising Minimum

All riders 18 and older are required to raise a minimum of $180 in donations, in addition to their registration fee, by the day of the event (September 28, 2024). Fundraising for The ALS Association is a very direct way of supporting our mission, and with each person you ask to support you, you are also spreading important awareness for ALS. Fundraising is easy and fun -- and we are here to help you get started and to surpass this fundraising goal!  If you are a first-time fundraiser or are interested in learning more, check out our Fundraising Tips and Tools. Our staff is another resource for you and we will be here for you at every step of the way! Don’t hesitate to email us at ridemassachusetts@als.org and we can come up with a fundraising plan together!

Fundraising

Ride is so important because it raises the essential funds needed to fulfil our mission. This year, we have a goal of $300,000! We have a lot of work to do to get there, but I am confident we can! Fundraising will be the same as it has been in year's past. You will still have your own fundraising page that can be linked to Facebook. You will also be able to recruit teammates to join your cause.
