How can I participate on Team Challenge ALS?

Team Challenge ALS members must first reach out to John Cronin at john.cronin@als.org to secure a race entry, space is limited! This website is for fundraising only. Once your race registration is complete, runners will set a fundraising goal, customize their page, and fundraise for the cause as they prepare for the challenge of the Marathon or 10 Mile. Team Challenge ALS members will receive training gear and access to fundraising tools.

Why should I join Team Challenge ALS?

The ALS Association has a goal of making ALS livable for everyone, everywhere. Your efforts contribute to this goal. Additionally, Team Challenge ALS participants are joining a community of fellow running enthusiasts that will push, cheer, and celebrate together throughout the event.

Is there a registration fee and fundraising minimum?

Yes, Team Challenge ALS runners are required to meet a fundraising minimum of $500 and cover registration fees charged by the Twin Cities Marathon ($139) and 10 Mile ($99).

Is it hard to meet a fundraising goal?

The ALS Association has created online fundraising tools to make it easier for you to reach your goal, and we can help you with materials, ideas, and other resources. Once you start asking people for support, you’ll be surprised how quickly donations roll in.

How does The ALS Association utilize contributions?

The donations gathered by Team Challenge ALS are used on three fronts care services to provide critical support and programs for families living with ALS, research towards meaningful treatments and a cure, and advocacy through public policy to improve the lives of those living with ALS and their caregivers.
