For many years she has been passionate about volunteering and helping others less fortunate, especially marginalized communities. Debbie is thrilled that she made the decision to move her career path from for-profit to non-profit, and feels extremely fortunate to work for an organization that helps families with limited incomes have access to affordable housing. A fun fact is that she once was neighbors with Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones. Debbie cheers on the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Cubs, and the Tennessee Volunteers!

She is working in nonprofit because during this transition period in her life she decided that she wants to give back and make a difference which is exactly what DuPage Habitat does. She wants to continue learning and help the organization grow so that more families may be able to have affordable housing. Her personal quirk is she is always fidgety and can't sit/stand still, especially when she’s nervous. Her favorite sports team is the White Sox.

She also rejoined Off Campus Writers Workshop out of Winnetka and has started writing a piece of fiction. Typically, she enjoys kayaking, eating out and getting together with friends and occasionally visiting the City of Chicago (the Museum of Contemporary Art is her my favorite). She believes that those of us who have had better opportunities have a moral obligation to help those who have not, and hopefully, give everyone a chance to build a better life for themselves and their families.

JEP Communications, LLC Joe has worked in the telecommunications industry for 25 years working at MCI and AT&T. In 2005 he and his wife opened a telecommunications company called JEP Communications, a nationwide provider of VoIP products and services. Joe is looking forward to working with DuPage Habitat as he sees is legacy is giving back. In his free time he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Bob Shield, Board Co-Vice President
VP, Retail Market Leader at Cardinal Financial Company After being in the mortgage industry, with Draper and Kramer, for about 25 years, Bob worked at Wintrust Bank as the Executive Vice President of Sales until his retirement in September 2018. He is very familiar with what DuPage Habitat does as he has been a Board member of Chicagoland Habitat for the past six years and is looking forward to working with DuPage Habitat. In his free time, Bob enjoys playing golf, doing handy work and spending time with his grandchildren.

George feels that nonprofit work keeps him humble and empathetic. His hero is Alistair Campbell and personal quirk includes being able to speak fluent Russian during college.
Baird and Warner Brian’s passions include being a grandfather, working to support equal opportunities through quality, affordable housing, preserving Chicago’s cultural history and Tenkara fishing. Being displaced for the last year due to a house fire, Brian understands, firsthand, the importance of the good works of Habitat for Humanity.
John Mulherin
Mulherin, Rehfeldt, and Varchetto P.C. John believes that being of service to others is one of the most satisfying experiences one can have. The gratification that comes with helping others less fortunate is truly immeasurable. In his free time, John attends live theatrical productions as he was involved in Community Theater as an actor and director for several years. John also loves to wear colorful socks and cheers on his White Sox!
