Welcome to my Fundraising Page. The Winship 5K is back again for the 14th year and will be both in person and virtual this year. I will be in person on the Emory University campus on September 28 to be part of the celebration and commemoration.
From this page, you can help me support the Winship Cancer Institute as I participate for the 10th year in the Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk. My great friends have helped me raise nearly $30,000 for Winship! Team KCA (Kick Cancer's A$$) has been a top fundraising team in the past and we want to do the same again this year.
The Winship Cancer Institute holds a special place in my heart. My friend and colleague, Lynn Monsalvatge, received treatment here in 2015-2016. Despite all efforts, Lynn lost her courageous battle with breast cancer on March 13, 2016. I participate again this year in her memory and in honor of all those that we've lost and those that fought and won their battles with all types of cancer.
I am also participating on a more personal level. I have had my own run in with bladder cancer. I am fortunate that it was low grade and was able to be removed. It is something that I will have to monitor and be treated for the rest of my life. Others will not be so lucky.
I’m so excited to be joining other supporters and families in the Atlanta community for the Winship Win the Fight 5K! Will you help me make a difference with a donation of any amount?
You may already support a cancer program of your choice and if you do, I thank you.
Thank you for supporting me and the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
