Barbenheimer Eviction Committee
Welcome to our team page. From here, you can help support Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University as we participate in the Winship 5K Run/Walk.
Winship Cancer Institute holds a special place in our hearts. In July of 2023, Lauren was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia: T-LBL. This rare form of cancer formed a giant mass of dead T-Cells in her chest, causing fluid to form around her heart and lungs and resulting in issues with breathing and swallowing. Lauren named her mass "Barbenheimer," so we formed the Barbenheimer Eviction Committee. While she says it was the support from family and friends that helped get her through, we know her being here with us today is thanks in part to the amazing team at Emory and the money we raise for Winship.
Serving more than 17,000 new patients each year, Winship helps cancer patients throughout Georgia, the Southeast, and beyond by working to prevent, treat, and cure cancer. This is Where Science Becomes Hope™. Your support is essential to fuel breakthrough research that leads to new and better treatments for cancer. Every step you take will help bring us one step closer to a cure. With your contribution today, we can make real progress to help save and improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
We're so excited to be joining other teams and supporters for the Winship 5K! Will you help us make a difference with a donation of any amount?
