I'm Erika Morales and this year marks a significant milestone - my 10th Cancerversary!

I invite you to join Team Emaus for the 2024 Winship 5K on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

For me, this is a personal run. Ten years ago, I underwent a Bone Marrow Transplant at Winship Cancer Institute. Winship became my home for over a year during that challenging period. I was terribly ill, rapidly losing weight, my kidneys had shut down, and my life seemed to be ending. 

However, God had different plans for me, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE". This year, I celebrate my 10 years of remission! I feel alive again and am deeply thankful to God for giving me another chance, another sunrise, another breath, and another day!
