Join portraitist Nader Hadjebi, CCAS BFA '98 for an interactive and informative session to learn the basics of creating a self-portrait. Nader is an accomplished artist who specializes in oil paint portraits that celebrate the complex realities of women of color. His work has been featured in Washington DC art galleries and he is a former semi-finalist for the National Portrait Gallery portrait contest. You can view his work here.
Attendees will learn the fundamentals of self-portraiture and gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of artistic expression. This unique opportunity allows attendees to view Nader's recent artwork and learn about his journey as an artist from the comfort of your home.
Materials for painting
- Re͏d, yellow, blue and white acrylic paints
- Canvas or painting surface (non absorbent. 8x12)
- 1 nylon bristle brush
