Join fellow GW alumni in the fields of Finance and Real Estate for a discussion on "The Impact of Technology on the Real Estate and Finance Industries".  

Panelists include:

  • Neil Baquiran, GWSB '07, Senior Director at Visa, Inc. 
  • Jonathan Iger, CCAS '04, Chief Executive Officer, Sage Realty Corporation 

The discussion will be moderated by alumnus Rodney Lake, GWSB '03, Director of GW Investment Institute, and will be followed by Q&A with participants. This event is open to all GW Alumni and members of the Class of 2021.

Panelists

rsz_neil_headshot_2018.jpgNeil Baquiran is a Senior Director at Visa, Inc. and is part of the Visa Direct Real-time Push Payments Product team. His career spans many years in product and business management in payments, securities finance, e-commerce and technology. His experience involves a full range of commercialization, solutioning and growth, product marketing and partnership management roles.

Neil began his career at Barclays Global Investors (now Blackrock, Inc.) as an associate in their U.S. Institutional Sales & Relationship team. He transitioned to technology and e-commerce, first to Intel Corp, and later became a senior business/general manager at Walmart eCommerce. Neil is currently responsible for Visa Direct's North America Enablement Partner Growth & Optimization practice which engages fintechs, acquirers, processors and financial institutions to ensure they have the proper infrastructure and market-facing capabilities to support multiple real-time push payment use-cases, efficiently on-board merchants and grow transaction volume.

He received his BA in Economics and minor in Japanese from the University of San Francisco and also studied Japanese at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. He received his MBA from GW School of Business, where he was the recipient of both the Board of Advisors Graduate Student Award and the School of Business Leadership Award.  

rsz_jonathan_iger_headshot.jpgJonathan Iger is the Chief Executive Officer at Sage Realty Corporation. He joined Sage in 2010 as the fourth generation of the Kaufman family and became CEO in 2014. He develops, implements, and oversees Sage’s corporate strategy, operating strategy, and investment initiatives and provides leadership and guidance to all departments across the organization. His mission is to create value for all stakeholders.

Prior to joining Sage, Jonathan served as Vice President at P&L Investments, LLC, a boutique real estate investment and asset management firm, and was founder and CEO of UrbanGradRealty, a boutique residential brokerage company that focused on the recent college graduate submarket. 

Jonathan serves as Chairman of the Board of the Meatpacking Area Business Improvement District, a board member of the Downtown Alliance, and a member of the advisory board for GW's Center of Real Estate and Urban Analysis (CREUA). And in keeping with the Kaufman family tradition,
