Fashion on Film: The True Cost

Watch the groundbreaking documentary The True Cost, and then join us for a discussion about sustainability in fashion, and the ways we can change our own habits to love our textiles longer.

About the Film

Many of us are trying to be thoughtful about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the fashion industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film from 2015 that pulled back the curtain on the story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing? In our discussion, we will explore ways we can change our own habits and love our textiles longer. (Bullfrog Films, 2015, 92 minutes)
