RBC Race for the Kids Volunteer Sign Up

Thank you for your interest in volunteering leading up to RBC Race for the Kids Toronto! This event would not be possible without amazing volunteers like you!

Pre–Event Volunteer Roles

Race Kit Pick Up Volunteers (September 16, 17, 18, 19)
Distribute the race essentials! On Race Kit Pick Up week, you will help process registrants as they pick up their race bib. You will be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including set up and tear down.

Friday Set Up Crew (Friday, September 20)
Can’t volunteer on Saturday? Help us set up the day before! We will need help behind the scenes to set up Mel Lastman Square prior to the run. You will be helping lift and transport boxes, tables, chairs and set up activities in tents throughout the Square. This position will fall within typical work hours and into early evening. Friday Set Up Crew members will need to be available for a minimum of 4 hours.

Day Of Volunteer Roles

Help Associates
Be the volunteer with the friendly smile and all the answers! You will be stationed at Mel Lastman Square to greet participants and answer their questions. You may be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including station set up and tear down.

Social Media Crew
Be the volunteer to engage and capture by helping our participants take photos with props around the square to share on social media.

Baggage Check Volunteer
Help everyone lighten their load! You will process participants dropping off and picking up their bags at the Baggage Check tents. You may be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including set up and tear down.

Start Line Volunteer
Start runners off on the right foot by helping them find their starting corrals! You will also ensure that there are no scooters, bikes or other unauthorized items in the corrals. You may be asked to help with other necessary tasks including station set up and tear down.

Water Station Volunteers
Help everyone stay hydrated! At a water station along one of the race routes, you will hand out water and sports drinks. You may be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including station set up and tear down.

Food Station Volunteer
Help treat everyone after the race! At the post-race party in Mel Lastman Square you will direct participants to the various food offerings on site, assist with handing out food and answer their questions. You may be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including station set up and tear down.

Kids Activities Volunteer
Entertain some of the youngest RBC Race for the Kids participants and supporters! You will be stationed in the kids area to ensure all children are safe and having fun. You may be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including station set up and tear down.

Finish Line & Medal Distribution Volunteer
Reward everyone for their hard work! At the finish line you will congratulate runners and present them with medals. You may be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including station set up and tear down.

Race Kit Pick-Up Volunteer

Guest Engagement Volunteer
Help us make next year even better! Capture feedback from participants on site by assisting them with completing a brief participant survey.

Trailblazer Volunteer
Entertain our year over year participants in their very own Trailblazer tent! You will be stationed in this area to ensure the Trailblazers have refreshments and that the correct participants are enjoying this station. You may be asked to help with other tasks as needed, including station set up and tear down.
