History of PTTP

In 2005 Stamford Health significantly expanded its breast cancer awareness message by creating Paint the Town Pink, a campaign that takes place every October to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Paint the Town Pink stresses the importance of screening and early detection and spreads the word about the comprehensive breast care services available in the community. The initiative, spearheaded by Stamford Health’s Bennett Cancer Center and Breast Center, includes the development and maintenance of partnerships with area organizations, businesses and corporations, along with the coordination of a month-long calendar of events that take place in Stamford and beyond.

The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Health provides compassionate, patient-centered care from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship. A multidisciplinary team of board-certified physicians, oncology nurses and radiation therapists offers advanced surgical, medical and technological services in a warm, caring environment.

The Hospital’s Breast Center offers comprehensive breast care with advanced screening and diagnostic procedures available, and a clinical team expert in treating all forms and stages of breast disease. Our Darien Imaging Center provides a satellite location where you can also receive your mammogram.
