Our Story:
Just one day after participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS in 2015, Marge began her final battle against this debilitating disease. Her fever took us all by surprise. That Sunday, she celebrated our return from the Walk and was so excited to hear our stories and see all of the pictures and videos. We cannot put into words how very much Marge's Peeps and the Walk to Defeat ALS meant to Marge. Every new team member and every new donation was shared with Marge. Each and every time, her eyes lit up and her beautiful smile emerged. Just knowing how many people were thinking of her and donating their time and money to a cause to honor her was such a precious gift.
But just four days after the Walk, Marge passed away, surrounded by her biggest joy: her family. We loved her with all our hearts. We took care of her to the very, very best of our ability. But we lost her. Because, unfortunately, at this time, that is how ALS always ends. Every. Single. Time.
There is no cure. There are no treatments that offer a chance of improvement. But thanks to the donations of many, work is being done. Research is happening. We can be hopeful. We must all do a small part in things getting better. So, this year, we Peeps will walk again for Marge.
We invite you to become a part of Marge's Peeps to honor our mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend--Marge Cuddihy. Come and walk with us! If you're unable to walk but would still like to raise money, sign up to be a Virtual Walker. If you are interested in supporting the cause but not able to walk, please choose a walker and donate below.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Continue reading to learn more about ALS.

Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
