We walk. We walk for those who can't. We walk for a cure. We walk to pay it forward. We walk because we care.  I discussed with the kids and we were unanimously in favor of gathering once again.  I pray for the day that this disease finds a cure or advances that help those afflicted lead a more fruitful life. It'll be the same, some laughs, some tears, some drinks, some dogs and a lot of hugs. We appreciated all your time, talents and treasures you have blessed us with over these many years - you all are part of his legacy.

As most of you know, Mike lost his fight against ALS last November. The kids and I have all agreed that we want to do this walk in his honor. We are down to just a month before our ALS Walk. Hopefully the “Save the Date” made it to your calendar back in May. So much the same as other years but we have modified the evening events “a tad”!!!

Welcome to the 2023 ALS Walk with Team TopDog! We are so excited to invite you all to an in-person walk this year on Saturday, September 16th, and we hope you will join us.

The official ALS walk is taking place from 8:00am-2:00pm at the Mall of America. While we are excited the ALS society is having an in-person walk/expo this year, we feel this venue is not where Team TopDog will thrive. Aka, no dogs or drinks....BOO!!!

That being said, please register for Team TopDog and fundraise what you can by clicking here. The ALS site has ways for Social Media to help with your fundraising.

Team TopDog, taking place at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan, MN on Saturday, September 16th. There are many parking lots within Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Please type in this location for directions, and it will bring you to the party parking lot! I've also provided the Google Maps link as well.

Here is a run down of the day's schedule:
9:00 am: Festivities begin. Donuts, bottled water, bloodies, and mimosas will be provided. Bring your dogs (and leashes) , drinks, and your party attitude!!
10:30 am: Walk. We will be walking around McDonough Lake on paved paths.
12:00 Closing Remarks and Button things up
12:15 pm: ***NEW*** Head to The Coonrod Farm for a post-walk celebration “Cooney Style”.

12:30 pm: Feel free to come and go as you please. Can't make the walk, but can make it to “the farm”? Great! Come join.

- Lone Oak will be providing the food (BBQ and Ribs – Mike’s favorite)

How do I get a T-shirt? (From ALS Site) DEADLINE Sunday September 10, 2023
- Registered Walkers (not just a donation) who've raised $100 will get a T-shirt. This benefit is awarded to individuals, not teams or donors, so make sure the donations is to your personal fundraising page!
-In addition to working toward one for yourself, you should spread the word to encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to earn their very own shirt.
