On January 28. 2023, we lost our free spirited, full of energy, wine sipping and always fashionable mom. She had the largest shoe collection ever; she loved shopping at Lululemon and Marshalls. She loved going to Zumba and Happy Hour with her friends. Her favorite song was Despacito. She loved snapchat filters and having her picture taken. I miss our 10x a day calls, telling her every mundane detail of my day.
About 2 years earlier, on a Friday afternoon in April, while I sat with her at the neurologist’s office, we were hit hard with the words “I’m sorry to say but your mom has ALS”. That light that shined above us got dimmer on that afternoon. The diagnosis that changed our lives forever.
We walk in her memory; we walk so others don’t have to lose their light. We walk to bring awareness; we walk to educate others. We walk to one day find a cure!
Let's come together to honor her spirit and support those affected by this devastating disease.

ABOUT ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
