Thank you for supporting Adam's Soaring Seagulls! Our Dad was diagnosed with ALS in early 2012 and passed away just one year later in May 2013. We miss him every day, but we are grateful to have had him in our lives for as long as we did and are comforted by the wonderful memories we have. He was a loving husband, supportive dad and doting grandpa who loved taking flying lessons, going to the pool, the beach, and enjoying the sunshine and seagulls.
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. This crippling disease can strike anyone. There is no known cause, no treatments and no cure.
Throughout our Dad's difficult ALS journey, the ALS Association provided us the information we needed when we needed it, emotional support, and valuable resources. They gave us a lot and we would like to give back!
This walk is an opportunity to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Please consider walking with us or making a donation. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people like our Dad affected by this disease.
Thank you for helping us reach our Walk to Defeat ALS® fundraising goal. Walk with us - because you can!
