My dad, ‘Papa’ was diagnosed with ALS December 2020 and lost his battle with this horrific disease February 2021. He went from driving, golfing to wheelchair bound within a matter of months. Breathing became a struggle and he required respiratory equipment in his last few months. My dad is a Navy veteran which gave him a 50% higher chance of getting ALS. The local ALS chapter was such a wonderful help to me as his caregiver with medical advice, helping to link up with VA resources, and helping us obtain the equipment we needed for my dads daily living activities. The local Central Ohio and Southern ALS Chapter is a non profit organization, relying on donations from the community to provide the care that ALS patients and their loved ones need. Please consider a donation to this worthy cause.

ABOUT ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
